Toronto is in Ontario (look at the map, if you know what that is. It’s in something called an Atlas) not in Quebec, which is the lone French speaking province in the country.

Do us all a favor and stay out of Canada. They’ve got some of the greatest beer going and they invented the incredible game of hockey as well as bringing us great bands like Rush and the Guess Who, groups that will be around for more than two years.

I don’t see Canada wasting billions of dollars on pointless wars and I don’t see people in numerous countries burning Canadian flags.

Can’t Play and Can’t sing

After waiting at the border to cross into the USA, I don’t think it is inappropriate to deny access to Canada for a “band” that doesn’t have a work permit. Canada constantly gets blamed as a access point for terrorists entering the US. If you, or any other Americans want easier access to Canada, you should try and stop trying to suck and blow at the same time!

This article isn’t about a “crappy death metal band” its about a real issue going on, so lets comment like its a real issue.

Just to rant:
IF any of you were really fans of rock music you’d like death metal too, not just say it “sucks” and “they cant play” without backing it up. You try to play the drums at over 200bpm, rip your guitars apart (melodically that is), scream your lungs out everynight on stage and then tell me these guys can’t play. I’m a huge fan of all music (except maybe country and r+b) and I just find it saddening when people disrespect music they haven’t even given a second thought about. Does the music suck because you listened to a 10 second clip and couldn’t stand the double bass drumming and vocals? ITS ALL MUSIC PEOPLE. Come on, I don’t say I hate every band coming out today because all the drum beats are the same and the recording industry tells them what to put out. I’m not going to lie and say I don’t like some pop-punk, some mainstream rock, but I also love metal and I just hate to see people rip it apart without giving it a chance.

Gee that’s funny, the Guess Who played here a year ago, and to say that Rush sucks is to show one’s own ignorance. What are they celebrating, something like 35 years in the business?

And if you want to talk drummers and you cannot admit that Neil Peart is among the best, then you have absolutely no musical credibility with this longtime listener.

Throw in the Tragically Hip as another great Canadian band. Anyone who would name their band Fecal Corpse doesn’t deserve to be allowed into another country to play.

Give me Opeth any day. They weren’t denied access into Canada when they came through with Porcupine Tree a few summers back.

Come on man, anything popular today is all produced and put out so that EVERYONE loves it (old people, 13 year old girls, ect… my little sister listens to rush for chirsts sake), thats why underground music is the only way to go, whether it be underground rock, metal, hip hop, ect. Underground acts write all their own meterial and then maybe hire a producer to make it sound “good” (clean up the music a bit, ect.), but not totally write all their music and force them to put certain songs on their albums. Any popular artist today and yesterday are all money hungry whores that don’t do it for the music, but do it for the fame and money.

Ed is a good friend of mine and it really sucks that Ed & Fecal Corpse acn spread their filth to the Canadians. they need a little feces in their bowls. Ed & his boyz fucking rule.

As much as I love NYDM, (Mortician being my favorite band) I think Fecal Corpse should not have been let into Canada if they did not fill out the paper work correctly. Should they have been detained and banned from the country all together? No. There is no “good party” here, but it’s sad that musicians can’t go to countrys and play for their fans because they messed up some paper work. Same goes for any Canadian bands.

WORKING PAPERS? not to shit on fecal corpse, i am a fan, but ive played in the death metal scene since 1999 and i cant believe that they would be making more than 250$ a show and thats being generous, which would all be in cash! the government is going to use the reason of working papers? the canadian government as well as the us government is way out of line to use that reason. if the reason was that they looked like a terrorist or something that would be different but for lousy working papers thats stupid. so rather than bicker with each other lets blame big government for wanting to much control. by the way i am for government and registered republican and definatly not an anrchist or anything like that just tryin to look at thr facts.
