
We’re confident at least one NME editor has dreamed about this exact scenario taking place: Pete Doherty is apparently collaborating with fellow Priory Clinic rehab residents and fellow musicians Justin Hawkins and (Keane frontman) Tom Chaplin. A source tells the (notoriously sensationalistic) British tabloid The Sun that the three have been writing songs together as a means of coping with sobriety. “Pete and Justin are particularly close and Pete has invited Justin to perform with Babyshambles this weekend,” the source claims. One thing though, is Pete actually sober? It was also reported that Doherty has been caught selling drugs to teenagers in the adolescent ward at The Priory.
