Snoop Dogg’s new, Pharell- produced single, “Vato,” features lots of gunplay and the catchy chorus, “Pow! Run, motherfucka run!” but apparently Snoop is planning a PSA-style video for it. The clip will star Cypress Hill’s B-Real as a Latino gangbanger and Snoop as a gat-toting thug who wastes a trio of “vatos” for talking shit even as he calls for homies of every color to just give peace a chance.
“I love all of my brothers, black and brown. There is nothing that can stop us from creating a better future for ourselves, for our families and generations to come if we all came together,” Snoop said in one of the least convincing statements of the year, if you consider that it’s coming from the man who is calling his upcoming album The Blue Carpet Treatment. (Get it? Crips wear blue.) Keep on doing it for the kids, man!
