The latest brilliant idea from the mind of American Idol’s resident poopypants is “Celebrity Duets,” a “Dancing With the Stars”-type show in which C-list stars like Seventies pothead Cheech Marin, wrestler Chris Jericho, Lucy “Xena Warrior Princess” Lawless and — wait for it — Alfonso “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Ribeiro will be partnered with the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bolton, Richard Marx and Patti Labelle. Prepare to be stupefied when the show begins airing on Fox August 29th, with Wayne Brady hosting. We’re trying to think of a worse duet than Cheech and Michael Bolton, and having a hard time.
