  • Miami rapper Rick Ross, whose hit single “Hustlin’” has sold more than a million ringtones, moved 187,269 copies of his album (featuring Jay-Z) its first week out.
  • Pennsylvania post-grunge rockers Breaking Benjamin, who spent the summer on the road with Staind, sold 124,790 copies of their third album its first week on shelves.
  • The first Slayer album in sixteen years to feature the original lineup seems to have reignited the group’s fanbase. Their latest, Rick Rubin-produced effort sold 62,449 units — their best since 1994.
