Axl Rose Does Some Community Service

8/11/06, 2:49 pm EST

Guns N’ Roses European tour ended last weekend at London’s Wembley Arena. That means no more fighting in hotel lobbies, or refusing to play without first being served traditional pot roast dinners. It also means it’s time to purify Axl Rose’s image by visiting some sick children. Rose made a surprise visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at the University College Hospital in London earlier this week and, according to reports, spent time talking with each patient. The kids were very polite, but later asked their doctors, “who was that guy?”

To the idiot that wrote this…nice job turning a positive article into an insulting tirade. It’s sad that this pisspoor “music” magazine has stooped to using children with cancer as a punchline.
Perhaps RS is too busy writing about Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson and all the wang they’ve scarfed down this week or how Kurt Cobain was the greatest guitarist ever, HA. Elizabeth Goodman, whenever you and your fellow “journalists,” and I use that term loosely, decide to publish something worthwhile in your rag then you just may find out who that person is.

and another thing elizabeth, Axl is not one of your movie or pop stars who has to “purify” his image. Name one time ever that Axl Rose tried to purify his image…lets see was it when A. Axl jumped off stage and pummeled a fan for video taping the show, inciting a riot. B.Axl left a show in the middle of a set while touring with metallica, inciting yet another riot. C. Getting arrested last month for fighting a security guard. D. Not granting interviews for over 10 years and not giving his fans one hint at what hes been doing. E. Just not showing up in Philly in 2002 because he was watching a basketball game. I just realized i can probably go up to Z and beyond on this one, so ill stop. The point is Axl Rose is the real deal, he doesnt care about his image..and if he does, he sure doesnt show it

well, I thought this was a funny article. If Axl wasn’t a metal-diva he’d find it funny too.

Rollingstone magazine has something against Guns N Roses! THE GREATEST BAND RIGHT NOW! Everytime I open up rollingstone magazine all I ever see is countless articles about bands we dont care about, aka emo, rap, and pop queens!!! I can’t wait for GNR TO DROP THEIR NEW ALBUM IN LATE FALL AND ANNOUNCE THE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR, so they can put your lame magazine articles in your place! LONG LIVE GUNS N’ ROSES CHINESE DEMOCRACY!!!!!

Ed | 8/13/2006, 7:08 pm EST

Elizabeth are you really that stupid? or are you just taking orders to try and sell more of this crap filled magazine

Evan | 8/13/2006, 9:20 pm EST

Lame RS! Lame!

RScrap | 8/14/2006, 4:42 am EST

I heard Izzy went to a cancer word and told a kid he would hit a home run for him??????

To all of these people whining about how RS is trashing their hero, face facts: Axl may be a genius, but he’s a jackass, too; and this community service was probably done just to keep him out of jail for another one of his rock-diva temper tantrums. If people quit defending this guy or making excuses for him, maybe he’d start acting like a decent human being.

JoeMan | 8/14/2006, 10:28 pm EST

Elizabeth Goodman SHOULD BE FIRED.

ERIC | 8/16/2006, 4:13 am EST

Hey assface do you believe everything you read? This wasn’t community service. If it were community service he’d have done it in sweden because that was the only incident outside of playing shows in the tour. What i say is dont talk shit and keep an open mind instead of believing all the bullshit stories RS say. Pot roast dinners, kids he visited didn’t know who he was, community service. Come on you have to be a complete idiot to believe that. No wonder George Bush is president in america, u dumbasses believe anything the media says. Let me guess u think its the CIA’s fault that US invaded IRaq? lol dumbass
