We’re not quite sure when Pete found the time to do this but Mike Skinner told the NME that Doherty is his special guest poet/spoken-wordist on a new version of Streets song “Prangin’ Out”, which Skinner wrote about his problems with cocaine abuse. “He makes my drug escapades look like schoolboy stuff … he’s written the book on excess and tabloid problems” Skinner reportedly commented, adding that he’s been trying to work with Doherty since the early Libertine days but has had a hard time tracking the guy down. “I wanted to get Pete on ‘When You Wasn’t Famous’ but that didn’t happen,” said Skinner, “He’s quite a difficult person to get hold of.” You don’t say.
