This year’s lineup is packed with jam bands. And what do jam bands have? Beards! The preponderance of facial hair inspired us to seek the Best Beard of the Day. There’s no contest on day one. Samuel Beam, lead singer of the southern-indie folk band, Iron and Wine, has a beard that reaches his knees. Seriously. Second prize goes to My Morning Jacket’s Jim James for his messed up mop of hair that makes it impossible to tell where the curls end and the beard begins.
