Now that Katherine McPhee has taken a bad spill it seems clear all American Idol runners up have issues staying upright. In 2004 Diana DeGarmo toppled down a flight of stairs during an American Idols Live Tour stop, resulting in a torn ligament. Then our reader’s favorite rocker-Idol Bo Bice attempted some ambitious stage jumps and broke his foot on another Idols Live date. And now Katherine. Sigh. Ms. McPhee tripped backstage during a tour stop in North Carolina and fractured her left foot. We’re bummed out for her and everything but the fact that, according to an RCA spokesperson, she finished her set wearing gardening slippers is not entirely un-funny. Of course McPhee plans to stay with the tour in spite of her injuries: Idols are not quitters.
