Brandon Flowers Mines His Mormon Roots, Apologizes to Everyone

Brandon Flowers’ new mountain-man facial hair seems to have softened him up. The notoriously outspoken Killers frontman apparently apologized for his frequent shit-talking directed, most recently, at emo bands like Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco. “I’d like to take it all back,” Flowers reportedly said, adding “I’m actually a nice person and I love people. I just am opinionated, and sometimes jealous. It’s not something I’m proud of.” Let’s just hope Pete Doherty’s not really getting sober cuz then we’d have nothing left to write about. [thanks Stereogum]

i actually thought the killers were very similar to mott the hopple but that could be me, i think some emo is reasonable enough to listen to but too much just doesnt turn me on.

Hot Fuss was a lot of fun-reminded me of Duran Duran, U2, and some Morrissey, and was well produced. Most first albums are tough to top and I haven’t heard the new one, but look forward to it. What does Mormon Flowers think about Mormon Mitt Romney’s run for President? I think he has as good a chance as any.
