Electricityscape is the best song on First Impressions but You Only Live Once is very good…reminds me of the better songs on Is this It?

first impressions its a excelent disc, of superb muscianship. if the only two or three mediocre tracks had been left out, i think it would be an enormous classic. i can’t believe how underrated it is. you only live once is probably one of the most enjoyable songs of the album, but in terms of complexity it is not of the most outstanding.

definitely the best song on this disc. In fact, I think the album as a whole is better than Is This It or Room On Fire.

Makes me sad to say that, while I love the Strokes, I can’t get into this album. At all. Julian himself sings “I’ve got nothing to say” but, for some reason, the vocals are dry & pushed waaay up in the mix.

“You Only Live Once” almost makes up for all this, though. Sooo good. Their best song, eva.

“you only live once” is great but i think the best cut on the album is “ize of the world” in my humble opinion.

definitely my favorite song on the new album. one of their best. also, i’m very tired of the Strokes backlash. their third album is just as good as their other two.

they really are a boy band for big girls arent they? in their matching outfits and all… but the song is great
