More Grillz newz: When Brooke Hogan – big-boned blonde daughter of big-boned blonde wrestler Hulk Hogan — teamed up with Houston rapper Paul Wall for her song “About Us,” we raised our eyebrows. But when we learned that Wall, who was known first for his master grill-making talents, crafted her a grill for the video, we fell to the floor clutching our sides in a fit of laughter. Evidently Wall wanted her mouth to be off the hizzle for the video. Next up: Jailhouse tattoos and a ’64 Impala.
- Diddy downsizes his name: It’s just Puff now, bitch. Also: Puff’s next album, now just called Press Play, is due out October 3.

- On July 25, model-actor-singer-etc. Tyrese will release a rap mixtape, The Best of Both Hoodz Volume I, under the name Black-Ty. “I was pleasantly surprised I must say. I did not know that Tyrese could rhyme so well but I should have known better. I am not just saying that because he’s the homie. His swagger is crazy,” said Method Man, who may just have been sucking up in order to get with the ladies Ty doesn’t have time for.
- The Jamie Foxx-LL Cool J feud has gone the way of J’s rhyming skills.
- The full lineup for the Bumbershoot Festival has been revealed. Apparently festival headliner Kanye West likes hanging out with indie rockers, because he’ll be joined by Spoon, the New Pornographers, Blondie, Of Montreal, Metric, Mates of State, Jamie Lidell, Deerhoof, the Blood Brothers, and Badly Drawn Boy, along with a handful of other rap acts, including A Tribe Called Quest, Atmosphere, and Lady Sovereign.
