On their new album Happy New Year, Brooklyn psych-rock trio Oneida sound as weird and crazy as ever. But “The Adversary” is one of the most accessible songs they’ve ever written. As drummer Kid Millions (cool handle!) pounds the skins with the ferocity of Keith Moon, guitarist/bassist Hanoi Jane (not a chick) and keyboardist Fat Bobby build a wall of screechy noise that peaks with three triumphant chords. Then they do it all over again. As if Kid Millions doesn’t have enough on his plate, he sings too. Way to multi-task!
