THE LATEST: Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister has reportedly spoken out against Pete Doherty, saying, “Hey Pete, you suck!” and claiming to be appalled by the disparity between Pete’s image and his music. In other Pete news, those of us who read Pete’s soon-to-be-published journals will also be treated to bad poetry by Pete’s ex, Kate Moss.

Kate Moss’ job is to look pretty and Kilmister’s job is to be blunt and rocking. Only one is truly fulfilling their lot in life.
Side note: The article in Rolling Stone about Pete Doherty was one of the most interesting and informative I’ve ever read. Indeed, Doherty is like a more talented and perhaps even sorrowful Sid Vicious. Down in Albion is a fantastic record, save for a few misses, and one can only hope Doherty can stay alive for another album.

The Dirty Pretty Things and Babyshambles are both halves of what the Libertines were. If Doherty can somehow bring it together and quit using drugs, the Libertines need to come back from their premature end.

you tell ‘em, Lemmy…
this Doherty creep belongs on a lunchbox or in a coloring book. Lemmy’s the real deal, even on an off day (or night).

You’re either an addict or a musician, there ain’t no in between.
