actually, plently of people dis on beyonce and lil kim. most recently, people hate on beyonce for her “erratic” crazy dancing in the deja vu video. lots of people hate on lil kim for her commercialization, a lot of people look at her like a sell out right now. personally, now when she wants to claim that she carries heat when shes rolls through the block, and that nobody wants to mess with her, psh, i just don’t believe it. but anyway, yeah, this song confuses me, i can’t decide if it’s too avant garde for me or if it’s just straight garbage. i’d categorize it along with justin timberlake’s sexy back as a song that makes little to no sense and has unnecessary talking by people who are not rappers.

It’s been compared a lot to Gwen Stefani’s Hollaback girl, but IMO London Bridge succeeds where Hollaback girl failed. The production on London Bridge is a lot more “dirty” and urban, less clean, and utilizes the whole feel of Fergie’s voice. I think the song is sexy and funky at the same time not pretending to be perfect a la Beyoncé.

I actually am a bit annoyed with the BEP’s latest two albums, but Fergie on her own is an interesting sound, if nothing else. The BEP should go back to making proper rap albums and leave the prancing around to Fergie, because she does it better.

Why is it a put off when a girl is loud about her partying? Personally I love this song. I also loved My Humps. The lyrics don’t sound that ridiculous if yuo compare them to any male rapper out there – bragging about his women, his dick, Hennessy and his weed.
