I was a huge Ashlee Simpson fan, but I think its gone down just a bit with some of the decisions that she makes. Don’t get me wrong, I still like her, and would still go to her concerts, but the nose job? I mean it wasn’t necessary. Turning her hair into a blondie, I thought the black hair had more of an appeal. And dating Braxton, and making a big deal about it. I mean sure date him, whatever, but to make it public, I think that withdraws the MALE AUDIENCE. I thought the autobiography tour was a huge deal to me then this tour for some reason. Yeah its a great cd but once again I think these decisions is making her go downward spiral here.

i think everyone should stop caring about celebrities and focus on their own lives, or how our earth is falling apart because of global warming… Ashlee is a normal person too, just like everyone else. The only difference is that her job is one that is seen in the public eye, whereas most peoples aren’t. But, guess what, she makes mistakes too. Just because a lot of people know her doesnt mean shes perfect. Thousands of people get surgery, why should she be picked out of that group and riduculed for it? She should be able to live her life without people talking about every little thing she does. I like Ashlee Simpson. I wasn’t aware that she got a nose job, which to me seems ridiculous, but hey, she can do what she wants.

As for the comment about her putting money into her nose instead of charities, have you guys ever looked at how many charity events she does and how much she contributes?

And if she’s “trying to be like her sister” then I really don’t think she would have started out as a dancer, progressed in the acting world (yea, kids, she was on 7th Heaven for awhile), moved out on her own, and decided to try something new.

I’m a musician. A singer/songwriter in fact. And you know what? Honestly, she cares how many fans she has, but if she’s in music for the right reasons, she’s doing this because she loves it, not because her sister is doing it. I’m pretty sure that phase stops at age 10.

I like her music. I like her sound. And I support her decision for a “new” nose. She wanted to do it, she has the money, it’s her nose, let her do it!

But look at it this way - I play guitar and I’ve always said, “Be honest with who you play for.” Bands shouldn’t be up there for the sole sake of filling a wallet. If I’m not going to lipsynch at home or in the studio when I’m practicing, then why would I do it on stage? If I’m going to have to use pitch correction when I’m practicing or recording, then why would I do it on stage?

Simple as that - I have no respect for people who aren’t honest with their fans, for whatever reason. If you’re not going to give them a fair, honest performance, then why be in the music industry anyways?

Then there’s the sensationalism and the superficiality that surrounds pop music, and that I also hate. Remember what I said - be honest with your audience and moreover, with yourself.

And if you have to sell out and rely on good looks, cosmetic surgery and flashy product endorsements to market yourself, damn you to the depths of hell for all eternity.

I do have to say the singing portion was about a B-/C+ range. Her performance = A. She was shakey the first half but her voice sounded much better. She ran off stage saying “Have a good night”, but came back for two more songs. It was a fun experience and I would go again to the concert, but I would like to actually see the infamous nose job PLEASE!!!

They were giving away free tickets for the show in colorado. I got a few from ticketmaster to see if I could sell for 5 dollars each, and I still couldn’t sell. I ended up losing money on the Ticketmaster fee.

I do have to say the singing portion was about a B-/C+ range. Her performance = A. She was shakey the first half but her voice sounded much better. She ran off stage saying “Have a good night”, but came back for two more songs. It was a fun experience and I would go again to the concert, but I would like to actually see the infamous nose job PLEASE!!!

Plus she was not amicable with her fans either (that she said helped her through her hard times). I waited almost an hour for her autograph and she never showed up. I think that is quite strange that anyone cares in any way shape or form how many tickets one singer sells. Besides possible Ashlee, I do not think it is anyone’s business how many tickets she sells or how many times she gets plastic surgery. Think about how many women in hollywood have had breast augmentations. Probably about half. If Ashlee was not happy with the way that she looked, than having the courage to do something about it is completely respectful in everyway. Ok, I’m not a fan of plastic surgery, and Ashley did look better before, she had some ‘uniqueness’ seperating her from the plastics of Hollywood. I used to like her music, but not anymore. First of all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. With that said,here is my two cents; i am completely worried of some of the comments written. i.e. Ashlee Simpson has the best voice and that she “rocks.” She’s the “faux hawk” of rock[pop] music. She’s a studio artist, unable to perform any of her material outside of a sound booth. The reason why she can’t sell tickets is because of incidents on SNL and the Orange Bowl which exhibited her inability to sing her own songs.

With or without the nosejob, it’s irrelavent to her “talent.” I think that what you do as a performer/musician should determine your merit.

Lastly, yes, she makes more money than all of us combined. Still, I rather be hated for who i am, than loved for who i am not.

I think she got the nose job to look more like Jessica, except she still looks busted up version of Jesscia. Whatever. I dont care if any of you in here disagree with me or not. Its my opinion so deal with it.

I listen to indie and jazz. Most of my friends listen to metal/hardcore. At parties, rap or something catchy. I do not like hardcore/screamo or rap or R&B, but I can tell the differences in my humble opinon, between whats good, and what sucks.

I just saw her concert here in Dallas and tickets may have been given away. BUT her concert was full of energy and everyone was up and singing ever word to her songs. She put on a great show. Much different than some artist who are sold out and put on a crappy show.
