According to sources inside the Living Things, the band was attacked onstage in Zurich tonight by at least three crewmembers and one band member from the pop-metal group Alter Bridge. The Living Things were performing their song “God Made Hate” (which asserts that religious intolerance provokes war) at a club called Rohstofflager when a scuffle developed. According to the source, Alter Bridge’s crew had been heckling the Living Things since the beginning of their set, in response to LT frontman Lillian Berlin’s usual politically-edged stage banter. The unidentified Alter Bridge crewmembers jumped onstage and began to hit guitarist Corey Becker in the face, at which point the band stopped playing and the fight was broken up. “They did it because of the anti-US government [words] I was saying from the stage,” Berlin guessed.

First of all, Living Things are neither emo-nor-goth. They’re pretty darn close to rock n’ rockin’ roll. Second of all how did a band like Alter Bridge get as far as a Living Things show in Zurich. What an irony that the guys from creed would start a fight over a song about the very thing religion starting fights. I’m about the loss of a healthy libido from being a jesuit priest and I’d even put it to any bum rushin nazi punks that tried to take exception to Living Things the 1st Amendment and rock n’ roll. no solution just bombs below

Alter Bridge guys start a fight? You guys nee to check with those who were at the gig and see what really happened! The actions of the Living Things was disrespectful and inappropriate, and in case you didn’t know these guys were the “SUPPORT” band to AB.
If you want to sum up what happened last night how about this, when ur band came back to pick up their stuff they were completely ignored by the crowd, who didn’t even see it worth booing them. AB then came on and rocked the house down. AB are not Creed they are ALter Bridge and deserve more respect when they alow bands to perform on THEIR tour. Enough said on the matter.

Paddy, try get some info on Alter Bridge before calling them christian.
I quote to the song Come To Life.
“I say hey, I’m not your new messiah and i will not take you higher.
And btw. Creed wasn’t a christian band, Scott Stapp wrote some lyrics that dealt about how he was raised on a strong christian home. As he says according to an interview in Craig Killborn’s Late Late Show.
F… Living Things. Don’t diss the band you’re SUPPORTING.

To get the real story log on to the message board at http://www.alterbridgeband.net and look for the thread titled, “The Zurich Incident” written by Tremonti’s brother for a first hand report of what happened. Fans also attested to the fact that The Living Things Guitarist attacked an Alter Bridge crew member first after the AB Crew member proudly displayed an American flag after the Living Things singer said, “America can suck my cock.” Good for Alter Bridge for whipping his ass after his Anti-American Rant.

I hate bush, but there are tons of first-hand accounts on that link above. That guy from the Living things said anti-AMERICAN statements, not anti-BUSH statements. There’s a difference.

Oh, and I love how the Living Things went right to the press with this. Media whores.

What a sad attempt by Living Things for free publicity. I for one am proud of Alter Bridge standing up for America. If Living Things don’t like America, then leave.

Key phrase in the article: “According to sources inside the Living Things.”
This is a one-sided story. Very poor journalism. If you’re going to print such stories of conflict, you’re going to have to present both sides.

The most ridiculous thing I’ve read in a while. This is just a silly attempt from a no-name band to get some publicity and they’ve done just that. Someone apparently forgot to tell them that no one cares about them, their music, or their childish comments and Alter Bridge’s crew put them in their place.
