Candy corn. That's pretty much what this album is. A sweet
and tasty snack and somewhat satisfying on some level but it
won't feed your body or soul and you certainly couldn't eat it
exclusively. It's not a bad album but sounds exactly like what
it is, the product of a Manhattan cloistered artist who seems
content with staying in his own comfort zone musically. If he
ever decided to leave the safe rear echelon and go to the
musical battlefield playing the small club grind across the
country nightly for a year or two he coul actually develop into
something remarkable. But for now he seems content which is
not an adjective usually associated with great artists.

friendly fire, this new record from sean lennon is a great way to put all the cridics to sleep, you can talk all you want about john and stuff like that but if you dont want to like it, give it a listen and you might be happy you did. i will now go out and buy in to the sun seans first albulm; becaues i like this one so much. i feel that this music he is putting out is far and above 100% of music we hear everyday on the radio, so thank you sean for doing what you do inspite of what others think you should. i have told 20 people about this albulm and not one has said it wasnt good , i feel its a flash forward to better music to come, i hope!!you dont get the same song over and over again you get a small glimps of a young man and his music! wow what a great record!! this is a smart progressive record that needs some air play!!!

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 51 YEARS I FEEL THE NEED TO OBJECT TO A MUSIC REVIEW PROBABLY SPURNED ON BY THE APPALLING 2 STAR REVIEW OF SAM,S TOWN.HOW IN ALL SERIOUSNESS COULD YOU GIVE THIS ALBUM 4 STARS(HIS DAD ONLY WARRANTED 2 5 STAR ALBUMS IN HIS POST BEATLES DAYS (IMAGINE AND PLASTIC ONO BAND).I MEAN WE ALL WISH THE LAD WELL AFTER THE AWFUL MURDER OF HIS FATHER BUT
25 YEARS DOWN THE LINE WE SHOULD REVIEW THE QUALITY OF HIS MUSIC WITHOUT THE SYMPATHY VOTE.PLEASE RETRACT ALL COMPARISONS TO THE BEATLES WHO ARE STILL THE BENCHMARK BY WHICH POPULAR MUSIC IS JUDGED(RIGHTLY SO AS LONG AS CRITICS DON'T DILUTE THAT QUALITY WITH INANE COMPARISONS).IT IS DIFFICULT TO HAVE A FAMOUS PARENT AND TRY TO LIVE UP TO THEIR STANDARDS AND TO BE FAIR THIS ALMOST MATCHES MOST OF HIS MUM,S MUSICAL OUTPUT.AS FAR AS HIS DAD GOES THIS IS ON A PAR WITH THE WEDDING ALBUM AND TWO VIRGINS BUT WITHOUT THEIR HUMOUR.GOOD LUCK IN WINNING YOUR SQUEEZE BACK YOUNG SEAN BUT I'M SORRY ,'CAUSE I LOVE YOUR DAD,THIS ALBUM IS NO NO.

I was concerned about what the music would sound like, with a father like John Lennon would Sean Lennon have the courage to break free from history and create something refreshing and at least a little original.
He has.
