The follow up to AFI's debut major label album "Sing The Sorrow", is in many words phenominal, the blend of pop and punk to even some electronica are perfect.

This album is no way an album aching back to albums like "Very Proud Of Ya" from 1996 or is it trying to be, it is an album by a band that is right now having a blast and it shows in many ways.

Right from the start you get an idea of the direction for this album with "Prelude 12/21" which is a subtle yet powerful combination, sort of a war cry to get you pumped for the rest of the album, and the rest of the album doesn't lack one bit, some songs take some getting used to but it doesn't take away from the overall AFI experience.

AFI - Decemberunderground in my opinion is an album to have in any music collection.

Okay, so I heard "Miss Murder" for the first time on a new rock radio station. I really like it's kind of dark catchiness (?) So I bought the album, thinking "These guys are pretty different!" Little did I know...

All they sing about is death.

This album is much better than it is getting credit for. No, it does not follow guidelines or stick to one genre. It does more. It expresses sorrow as well as calm. The mood is carried through and pulls you along the ups-and-downs of it's soul. It's inspiring.
