An entertaining movie. Will appeal to high school age audience much more than an older audience. Ending, especially the birthday party was kind of korney and week, but otherwise a respectable effort.

I saw this movie last night, opening night, and the theatre was filled with preteen girls who found the movie to be hysterically funny. I myself thought the movie was laughable, but didn't consider it to be a good movie by any means. It was just a fun movie to be enjoyed by most girls out there. In response to the other comment, the use of John Tucker's name repeatedly as "John Tucker" isn't at all unusual in my high school. In fact, most people are referred to by both their first and last name at all times, because of the number of people in the grade(and school) named Max, Matt, John, Nick, Pat etc. Even I am constantly referred to by both my first and last name by even the closest of my friends. Overall, this movie isn't the best, but it is a fun movie to sit and watch.

John Tucker Must Die is not a BAD movie, it's just not really all that funny or interesting. It has a few good bits sprinkled in but those are too few and too far between. And the title is misleading; they don't want to kill John Tucker, they just want to mildly inconvenience him at sporadic intervals during the film. Kind of a strange idea for a whole movie, but I guess it's not so bad. My only huge complaint against this movie is how often they say 'John Tucker'. I've been to high-school, and usually we only use the person's first name unless they're a teacher (in which case we use their last name). But these girls say 'John Tucker' so often I started to think that the guy's first name was actually 'Johntucker'. Pretty creepy, if you ask me.
