Red Dragon
Starring: Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Emily Watson, Harvey Keitel, Ralph Fiennes
Directed by: Brett Ratner
2002 Thriller
The least nourishing of the Hannibal the Cannibal films takes up two discs. This remake of Michael Mann's 1986 Manhunter (rent that, it's much better) requires Anthony Hopkins to suck in his gut to play the young Hannibal as he helps an FBI agent (a surprisingly lazy Edward Norton) catch a serial killer (Ralph Fiennes). The extras define the word filler, especially the Director's Journey with Brett Ratner -- the auteur of Rush Hour and a Nic Cage turkey (The Family Man). The only reaction to such self-congratulation: Eat me.
