Nick Broomfield, the man who proposed that Courtney Love had a hand in the death of Kurt Cobain, launches a one-man investigation into the murders of the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. Armed with a gun-shy camera crew and a set of brass balls, Broomfield interrogates mammoth bodyguards, comes face to face with Suge Knight in prison and ventures into dangerous L.A. neighborhoods. He doesn't quite crack the case, nor does he address the film's even bigger mystery: the question of his own sanity.
