In a great year for documentaries, add the subversive and diabolically funny The Yes Men, from Chris Smith (American Movie) and his co-directors, Sarah Price and Dan Ollman. The focus is on Mike Bonanno and Andy Bichlbaum, pranksters who created a Web site in 1999 to mock the World Trade Organization, only to be mistaken for legit spokesmen. Invited to speak in Finland, the boys push for the return of slavery. Bichlbaum wears a gold jumpsuit featuring a huge penis with a built-in TV - handy for monitoring workers he calls "sheeple." On the road, these wacko ideas win applause. Only a few college students jeer at the notion to end hunger by feeding the poor recycled human feces. Talk about laughs that stick in your throat.
