2002 Thriller

This one came and went so fast earlier this year that you'd never guess it's a first-class World War II spy thriller about the British effort to break the Nazi Enigma code.

Dougray Scott is the mathematician torn by his ethics and two babes (Kate Winslet and Saffron Burrows). With so many sharp minds behind this film -- screenwriter Tom Stoppard, director Michael Apted, producer Mick Jagger -- a commentary track would have helped. But the DVD delivers the film in such lush widescreen glory, you can't really bitch.
