Wayne and Garth might call it a chick movie. Tony Gilroy's script sets up a romantic sparring match between Kate Moseley (Moira Kelly), a rich-bitch figure skater going for Olympic gold, and Doug Dorsey (D.B. Sweeney), a hockey jock who becomes her skating partner.

Kelly and Sweeney have a charm that's easy to root for. But they're not skaters, which forces director Paul M. Glaser to cut to stunt doubles whenever the ice action revs up. It doesn't help this formulaic movie that the real Winter Olympics are still fresh in our memories.
