Just Looking is a coming-of-age sex farce, circa 1955, directed by Jason Alexander, who gives a young cast the benefit of the crack comic timing he displayed for nine TV seasons as George Costanza on Seinfeld. The plot centers on fourteen-year-old Lenny (Ryan Merriman), a Bronx kid who spends his summer vacation trying to catch two people in the act of doing it. Lenny joins an all-talk, no-action teen sex club, led by Alice (the appealing Amy Braverman). Alice likes him, but Lenny is fixated on an older woman, Hedy (the best performance to date from Gretchen Mol), a night nurse who used to model bras. There's not much that's new in screenwriter Marshall Karp's sitcom-ish memoir, but Alexander keeps the laughs coming.
