From director Iain Softley, carries the lofty air of a prestige production. Oscar winner Kevin Spacey plays a self-proclaimed visitor from another planet. Oscar nominee Jeff Bridges co-stars as his shrink. Oscar voters have been sucking up this holy-fool hooey for decades. Starman, The Fisher King, Phenomenon - name your poison. But you wait in vain here for a spark of visual wonder or verbal wit to animate the old conceit about how the nuts are saner than we are. K-Pax goes all too quickly k-put.
