Containing thirty-five videos from the U.K. trip-hop label Ninja Tune, Zen TV highlights the electronic-sound collages of the label's artists (including Kid Koala and Coldcut) as well as the quirky cut-and-paste techniques of their filmmaking buddies. When the music and images cohere -- as in the video for Skalpel's "Sculpture," which features ghostlike jazz musicians passing a joint during a recording session -- the results are way too cool for MTV.
