Grateful Dead - View from the Vault I
What the Grateful Dead look like if you're not tripping
for better or worse, a visual document of a late-period Dead show: Six middle-aged crazies in dorky shirts giving it their psychedelic best and not really caring if you like it or not. The expression on drummer Bill Kreutzmann's face sums it up: He looks as if he's calculating how much he gets paid for each drumbeat. Things get better in the second set as the band opens up for extended interpretations of trippy war horses such as "Estimated Prophet" and "Terrapin Station."
