With its heavy-duty arsenal, cocaine nights and body-rocking soundtrack, Miami Vice created a signature vocabulary for Grand Theft Auto to plunder eighteen years later. Star partners Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) were joined in the debut season by guests Glenn Frey, John Turturro and Pam Grier. Points get deducted for an utterly inappropriate use of Peter Gabriel's "Biko" but added for a bonus featurette profiling theme composer Jan Hammer.
