Dubious Hallmark ending aside, this adaptation of Jane Austen's novel shows the delights of fancy-dress balls and romance in the rain. Sharp-tongued Lizzie Bennet (Keira Knightley) and her parade of sisters arouse the passions of taciturn simp and midget rector alike, thus prompting the koan "What are men compared to rocks and mountains?"
