A West Virginia supermarket girl (Kate Bosworth) wins a Hollywood date with movie star Tad the cad (Josh Duhamel) and breaks the heart of the boy (Topher Grace) she leaves behind. You can see it all coming. The actors, especially Grace, fight hard against a schizoid script (the kids are rubes one sec, hipsters the next) and cotton-candy direction from Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde). It's a losing battle.
