Set in 2019 Seattle after an electromagnetic pulse has shattered the American economy and brought on martial law, Dark Angel had a lot of cool dystopian touches, like the hovering police-surveillance drones. Problem was, most episodes were just plain dull. Star Jessica Alba played a bike messenger/cat burglar/supersoldier refugee genetically enhanced with feline DNA. Although Alba is only passable as an actress, the producers tried to make up for that by getting her soaking wet as often as possible.
