Alias frontgirl Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) starts out as a farm-fresh recruit to a CIA-like intelligence organization, only to find out she's actually kicking ass for the dark side. Garner is perfunctorily compelling and permanently wide-eyed, just as her double-agent job description demands. In each episode, Bristow and Co. play dress-up and drop into a remote locale, and unlike most action stars, Bristow gets as good as she gives, ensuring that even her most stunning outfits are stained with sweat and blood.
