Davis' electric period (1968-72) is both his most controversial and his least documented. Interviews with key players including Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and Davis himself make the case for Davis' plugged-in elegance, but the finale -- his set at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival -- proves the point.
