The animated version of Aaron McGruder’s comic isn’t as riotously rapid-fire as The Simpsons, but it still successfully skewers suburbia and hip-hop. Ten-year-old revolutionary Huey and his rap-struck younger brother Riley try to puzzle out the meaning of the R. Kelly case, and why their grandfather is falling for a gold digger. Huey concludes, “That’s how it starts: taking bitches out to eat.”
