Rather than creating a linear doc about the online community board, director Michael Ferris Gibson filmed over 100 Craigslist vignettes in one day to mirror the board's virtual neighborhood. The scattershot collection of San Franciscans pursuing diabetic-cat support groups, roommates, and, of course, sex partners is random. That's the point. But rarely does the arbitrary focus yield entertaining or enlightening results.
