Though hailed as Woody Allen's best in ages, this is an unsavory piece of work. Social climber Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) can't keep his mitts off his wife's brother's gal (Scarlett Johansson, in a one-dimensional role with lines like "What I am is sexy.") and it all goes to pot from there. With a message that luck can help you get away with murder, Match Point feels as hollow as Chris' soul.
