Merrill "Peaches" Nisker is no stranger to the battleground of sexual politics, but on "Fuck or Kill," the forty-nine-second-long opening track of Impeach My Bush, she crosses over to the military war zone, crying, "I'd rather fuck who I want/Than kill who I am told to!" Album number three finds Peaches' sound unchanged: hot-breath raps stuffed with double-entendres ("Can you cut the mustard to clear the custard?" she wonders on "Slippery Dick") over slithery electro pulses punctuated by leather-gloved hand claps and Burundi beats punched up with heavy-metal riffs. Successfully subverting tired rap tropes, Peaches flips the threesome script on "Two Guys (for Every Girl)" and disses today's hip-hop hustler on "Stick It to the Pimp," insisting she "pissed in your pimp cup/So drink up." Former collaborator Joan Jett returns for the utterly awesome "Boys Wanna Be Her," proving that while Impeach My Bush barely deviates from Peaches' previous scripts, it matters not a whit. After all, it worked for Die Hard 3.
