New Obama Ad Spotlights Big Bird

Spot mocks Romney's focus on 'Sesame Street,' not Wall Street

President Barack Obama has released a new campaign ad shining a spotlight on one of the biggest menaces facing America today, if you're Mitt Romney: Big Bird. The cheeky spot comes in response to the Republican nominee's declaration during last week's presidential debate that he would end federal subsidies to PBS. So who's the bigger menace: the eight-foot yellow bird on Sesame Street, or the corrupt tycoons on Wall Street?

The producers of Sesame Street have asked the Obama campaign to take down the ad with a statement that reads in part, "we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns."
