Melissa Etheridge has released a new radio ad in support of legalizing marijuana in Colorado. The singer-songwriter urges voters to vote yes on Amendment 64 by sharing how marijuana helped her in her battle with breast cancer. Though chemotherapy was extremely difficult, Etheridge says marijuana was "the only thing that allowed me to function and regain my strength." Etheridge admits she used to think of marijuana users as law-breakers, but a life-threatening disease changed her perspective. "I now see that it's wrong to arrest adults for using marijuana, and it's even more wrong to allow gangs and cartels to profit from selling marijuana."
