CONGRESS WITHHOLDS $1.15 BILLION IN PROMISED AID TO HAITI
With Hurricane Tomas threatening flash floods and mudslides, a recent cholera outbreak killing hundreds and sickening thousands, and 1.3 million people still homeless in and around Haiti's capital of Port-au-Prince, Congress still won't provide reconstruction aid until U.S. lawmakers are assured funds will be allocated properly.
