Reacting to the FBI's much touted bust of Islamist, Internet chaterbox, pre-crime terrorists, reader El_Poderoso writes:
The Internet has become a place where people live out their dark fantasies; the most common are sexual fantasies. Then, in the case of MoveOn.org, the political fantasy of being a viable political movement. And yes, apparently there are even those with Jihadist/ terrorist fantasies. While it would be stupid to ignore these frustrated Islamogeeks, as a few might actually aspire to DO the things they are discussing in a chatroom, it is also stupid to trumpet them as the "real deal" unless they really are. If the government cries wolf for political advantage over and over again, will the public take them seriously when the "real deal" comes along?
