The Scalia gesturegate controversy just keeps getting juicier. After the Supreme Court justice insisted that his old-country chin flick wasn't profane and demanded the paper print a correction, the Boston College photography professor who captured the moment on film released the pictorial evidence.

Scalia, said shutterbug Peter Smith, "immediately knew he'd made a mistake, and said, 'You're not going to print that, are you?'" Smith also claims that Scalia accompanied the gesture (which the jurist insists means only, "I could care less") with the v-bomb, vaffanculo, which translates figuratively into "fuck off" but has literal connotations of "go engage in anal intercourse."
