Slip Sliding Away
Zogby finds Bush's approval dipping anew. The president is sub-40 once again, with an overall approval of 38%.There's no commander-in-chief bounce either: Only 38% of both families with military members and veterans themselves support the prez.
"Perhaps most ominous for the President," said Zogby, "is that only 52% of self-described born-again Protestants give him a positive job performance rating."
But there are more bad signs for the Dems: Senate minority leader Harry Reid's Excellent/Good numbers (13%) are 7% lower than the scandal plagued Bill Frist's (21%).
National Affairs Daily is going on vacation and will return on Monday, January 2, 2006.
