The battle over the prescription-only status of Plan B —the so-called "Morning After Pill" —just got a whole lot weirder. According to an internal memo released as part of ongoing litigation, the FDA's deputy commissioner —a woman who goes by the improbable name of Dr. Janet Woodcock —fretted that making the post-coital birth control available over the counter "would lead adolescents to form sex-based cults centered around the use of Plan B." Whoa!
