The Obama Goalpost

Campaign manager David Plouffe on a conference call just now said that he expects Hillary will have picked up a maximum net of 12 delegates last night.

He also pointed out that the campaign is now 134 pledged delegates away from having the majority pledged delegates, which he called "the most important marker in terms of evaluating the contest."

Plouffe said the campaign would soon "commence a countdown" to that "very meaningful event" in the campaign when Obama wins the pledged delegate battle.

If Obama splits the delegates from here on out, he'll nose up to that line on May 13 in West Virginia.
