I'm actually of the opinion that it's a fine thing for this race to continue for another couple weeks. Pennsylvania was going to be a blue state before the heroic campaigning of the last seven months (or was it only weeks). But this race just made it a much deeper blue.

Indiana and North Carolina are not swing states in the traditional sense, but they've got promise. It's within the realm of the possible to put these states in play in November. Doubtful that either will produce a victory, but forcing John McCain to defend what has been reliably red turf would be a victory in an of itself.

Here's hoping for a spirited campaign, close contests, wild turnout, and the endgame we've all been desperate for on May 6.
