Before we knew the results of yesterday's recall election in Wisconsin, Jon Stewart considered what was at stake. News organizations had – of course – cast the matter in the most dramatic terms possible: CNN said GOP Gov. Scott Walker, if recalled, would "suffer one of the worst indignities for an elected official," while Fox News predicted a descent, without Walker, into a Chinese-style one-party state policed by "Monterey Jack-booted thugs." Stewart: "It'll be like communist China if Walker loses. I mean, we'll all be forced to join unions ... like in China." Watch:
