On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart dinged the presidential campaign of "Lego figurine head model" Newt Gingrich. To recap: Newt launched his bid last week and almost immediately self-destructed, courtesy of a baffling turn on Meet the Press where he ticked off congressional Republicans by dissing Paul Ryan's deficit plan. If he was hoping to impress "the moderate wing of the Republican party," he was kidding himself, Stewart chuckles, since that wing "has been closed for renovation since Nathan Rockefeller died." Add to that a glitter-bombing, Tiffany's receipts, and some inspired heckling at a campaign event, and you have one no good, very bad week.
